Steve Weintraub (Frosty) of Collider did an interview on camera with Keanu Reeves. In addition to the footage, there is also a full transcript. Mr. Reeves was very talkative and engaging. Mr. Weintraub talks in depth about Side by Side with Keanu and also asks him about some of his other projects.  When the topic of using digital cameras with old school seventies lens, Keanu says:

Well, yeah, because it creams it up a bit.  It’s weird when you talk about film or the image it kind of turns into wine.  You use things like “it’s robust, the bouquet, the grape, the way it falls off, the chocolate, the cinnamon, and the earthy tones.”

Here are some tidbits we learn. Keanu said he liked directing and will do it again if he has a story to tell. He also mentioned the possibility of doing another documentary in which he would talk to actors and ask about their films and their lives. We learn that Man of Tai Chi is in 70% in Mandarin, 15% Cantonese and the rest in English. If things go according to plan, Keanu is thinking about a spring or summer of 2013 release. On the 47 Ronin front, Keanu has seen a few reels and some images and is of the opinion that they look astounding.
