Motion Graphics Used for 47 Ronin Post-Production Work or Film Promotion?

Thanks for tweeting the link Ayako!

Diane Made is a motion graphic designer. She has just added some shots to her portfolio on her site for 47 Ronin that are labeled as new. There are four panels, three of which look like they could be components for a poster and one that are a collection of shots of men on horse back. On first glance they don’t appear to be much and it is hard to imagine how they might be used.

The first question that comes to mind is what exactly is graphic motion design and how can it be use? A discussion of motion graphics is here and  collections of various clips are here and here to get an idea of what is is.

Assuming that the additions to her portfolio are truly recent, it would seem that motion graphics could be used to enhance footage already filmed during post-production work on 47 Ronin or perhaps it may be used in marketing the film.Considering the silence by Universal on the project, at the very least, it looks like work continues on the film and that is a plus.
