I posted this link for the Tengu forest set in the forum back in June 2012. Many thanks to Ayako for the reminder. I have gone back into the forum to see what other Ronin related goodies were posted that are worth taking a second look at now that the 47 Ronin trailer is out and promotions are starting.
- The photos of the Tengu forest sculptures are here. The production designer for the forest sculptures was Jan Roelfs and his work is stunning.
- Many thanks to brianhirano who posted a photo from one of the sets at Pinewood Studio 11 months ago.
- Morgan Benoit tweeted that he had a doubling job on 47 Ronin along with his photo back in August of 2012. He posted recently on July 24 that he doubled for Keanu Reeves in the film.
- catharine1967 put a video together from all of the photos that were posted from the 47 shoot and posted it on January 18, 2013. Note all of the photos of extras in their red costumes appear to be from the tournament scene. In view of what we have seen in the trailer, she did a great job of capturing the essence of the film.
- An earlier draft of the script appeared on the Black list in 2008. It is a good read for those who haven’t read it.
