TIFF Review: Man of Tai Chi

Gabe Taro has reviewed Man of Tai Chi for the Indiewire. On a positive note, Mr. Toro said the following about the action:

The fighting, choreographed by Yuen Woo-Ping, is predictably fantastic. Reeves cuts around a few sequences, unfortunately, but for the most part he captures the fights in a way that emphasizes the physicality of the performers and respects the history of martial arts cinema.

There are several other comments that appear positive on the surface but with further reading aren’t so great. He finishes with:

It wants to be awesome, but instead it’s just “awesome.”
