Lucy Watts described Reeves’ character as very humble and likeable, and the actor concurred with this notion. In addition to the background of the love story, in common with many movies from that part of the world, pugilistic martial arts plays a big part in the storyline. ‘Daybreak’ showed a couple of scenes from the movie in which there is some very stylish sword fighting. Watts asked Keanu when was the last time he was in a fight, and he answered after some thought that it was grade school. It’s perhaps difficult for one of the world’s most famous men to get into brawls too often!
