John WIck appears to be gaining attention in the international community. Short articles with photos appeared on Turkish site Filmlovers and Czech site Film-arena.cz today. Both pieces give a short synopsis of the film. Additionally ET Canada will be running their on-set interview with Keanu Reeves next week.
Liongate is in charge of non-US sales for the film. They were successful in picking up distributors for the film at both the Cannes market and the American FIlm Market in November. Liongate will also be present at the European FIlm Market which is part of the Berlinale which is coming up in February. Early promotion of the film and keeping it in the publics’ view is a good thing but the push in the international arena may be to increase some buzz prior to the EFM. Time will tell.
