Focus Online has posted their interview with Keanu Reeves. The interview is also accompanied by a short interview clip from AFP. The interview is in German and is readable with the google translator. Keanu Reeves’ openness with the German press continues. Here are some highlights:
- He’s asked about being an outsider again and this time he highlights attending 5 different schools in 4 years when he was a child. He also talks about his mixed heritage.
- He was asked about his approaching milestone birthday. He said: “Yes, I will be half a century old. My 40th was bad. At that time I felt like I was going to grow up for the second time. I sw that birthday as a big change in my life. In recent years, I might think about death from time to time but when I turned 40 I felt it for the first time too. I was thinking all the time: I ‘m really going to die. With 50 I can only think : Crap , I hope I do not die. And at 60 I’ll finally think : Damn, I ‘m going to die, let’s do something even more crazy!”
- When asked about about what he wants do before he turns 50, he said: “Yes, but I have only had these thoughts for a few years – since around 45 years old. At some point you realize that life is finite. Not that you would not have known before, but at that age you feel it too. You feel an inner drive to take his life in hand and to realize your dreams.
- He said he has no special plans for his 50th birthday but there is plenty of time to plan.
- When asked about being a heart-throb and sex symbol, he said that he understood it but thinks that it is ridiculous.
