Chinese site NewsCanal is reporting that Keanu Reeves along with Gong Li will present the best director award at the 29th Film Independent Spirit Awards. The awards ceremony will be held on Saturday March 1 on the beach in Santa Monica.
The red carpet arrivals and pre-show interviews start at 11:00 AM PT/2:00 PM ET and will be live streamed at Yahoo Movies.
The Independent Spirit Awards site is showing that the event will be aired on IFC on March 1 at 10:00 PM ET/PT. From the arrival times, I assume that the broadcast will a taped.
Note: The Independent Spirit Awards site is not showing Keanu as a presenter at this time, but the page indicates that they are still adding people to the list. I suspect the news made the Chinese news due to Gong Li.
Update: YahooMovies has posted confirming that Keanu Reeves will be presenting at the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday.
