Alexandra Briones R. spoke briefly with Keanu Reeves this morning for a piece he wrote for La Segunda. A photo also accompanies the piece. It is in Spanish and translates well with the translator. Here are the hightlights:
- There were four guards outside of Keanu Reeves’ hotel and they cleared the way for the car that arrived to pick upthe actor.
- Keanu left this morning a little past 9. He was wearing a long gray coat. He smiled and said sheepishly, “It’s great to be in Santiago”. He said that he was in the country to make Knock, Knock with Eli Roth.
- He said, “The script is fantastic, the story and characters are great. Hopefully, I will make a very good and entertaining movie.”
- Although he had many other offers, Keanu said, I made the decision to do Knock, Knock because I was excited about the idea of working with Eli Roth. Today I am just going to work and rehearse.”
- Keanu started the day at the capital city clinic for routine exams that are required for making the film.
- He was recognized by two newspaper vendors at a stpplight and tried to greet him. He is trying to keepa low profile but he has taken several photographs with fans including some at the gym (I think that photo from yesterday may have been at the gymn).
- He will be here just over three weeks. He said, “Of course it’shard being away from my family and friends, but it is also exciting to be part of this adventure.”
