Keanu was photographed yesterday (July 31) arriving at a meeting in the E! building in LA. He was dressed in a dark suit and tee shirt and his infamous brown clunky hikers. He was carrying a script. Rumors spreading around the internet have him starring in a Michael Bay film along side Keira Knightley that is supposedly to be shot in NYC and the Greek islands. Jon Spaihts also said in interviews a month or so ago that news would be forth coming on Passengers.
In the pass we have seen Keanu with scripts that he has either passed up (Akira comes to mind) or he has signed on to and they have never happened (Cowboy Bebop, Jekyll). Regardless, as an A-list actor, if he has another project in the hopper, I expect that we will see an official announcement in one of the trade papers. I doubt if someone of Keanu’s or Bay’s stature will release their film announcement via a gossip show/column in Greece. While it will be great if this particular project comes to fruition, the best you can say right now is rumor and/or speculation on the part of the Greek press.
