Who would have thought that our Mr. Reeves, the whipping boy of the critics, would have ever been described as a “”inquisitive cinephile” or a filmmaking wonk? Anna Dimond covered the Side by SIde Q&A session for the LA Weekly on Friday, August 17, 2012 and used both terms.
Both Keanu Reeves and director Chris Kenneally talked about making the film and expanding on some of the anecdotes in the film as well as sharing others that occurred during filming. Ms. Dimond said that both gentlemen were serious about both their film and the subject matter but they kept the mood light and let the audience in on their jokes. Keanu Reeves, who has a healthy sense of humor about himself , was adept at answering hefty questions about film and also entertaining the audience with improvised riffs.
