Reviews

John Squires reviewed Knock Knock for CON TV. He said the following:

I suppose you could call Roth’s latest a one trick pony, as it’s admittedly one karmic joke played out over the course of 100-minutes – in many ways, it feels like an extended episode of Tales from the Crypt. But that’s hardly a bother, because the entertainment value is so high and the story so well put together that there’s a never a dull moment to be found within it. It’s twisted and cruel, but it’s also just plain fun.

Best of all, Knock Knock is a fresh departure for Eli Roth, armed with many of his charms but presented in a way that makes it feel quite different from anything he’s ever done before. Watching his latest horror-show is like watching a filmmaker hone his craft and, in so many words, grow up, and that makes this one a real delight – especially for those who questioned Roth’s abilities after The Green Inferno.

Joseph Friar reviewed the film for the Victoria Advocate and gave it 2.5 stars.
