At a press conference held on September 20, 2012, the 25th Tokyo International Film Festival announced the films for each of their programs. As previously reported, Side by Side will be screening in the documentary program. Officials for the TIFF also announced that Side be Side would be distributed by Uplink and would appear in theaters this winter.
