Pursue News, which is a start-up entertainment media brand out of India, is reporting that John Wick Chapter 3 has a new title and shoot start date sourced to Production Weekly. According to them, The new title is John Wick: Chapter 3-Para Bellum and the shoot start date is May 7 in NYC.
There is no way to verify the Production Weekly listing without subscribing at a fee of $75/month and I am not going to do that. With respect to the shoot date of May 7 in NYC, that is odd considering that street signs have started appearing for JW3 in Manhattan that indicate shoot dates of April 25-27. The last time Production Weekly reported title information for JW3 was the working title and they included it in the listing, “John Wick: Chapter 3” (w/t “Alpha Cop”). Considering Lionsgate was at CinemaCon today and released the first poster and synopsis, I find it hard to believe that they would not have included new title information.
Time will tell if there is in fact a new title and where shoot locations will be. I’ll update if I find anything else that looks reliable.
