There seems to be a lot of buzz out in internet world about Wanda Media suddenly deciding to distribute Man of Tai Chi. That is old news. The Hollywood Reporter announced back on December 14, 2011 that Man of Tai Chi would be distributed by Village Roadshow Asia’s affiliates in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, by China Film Group and Wanda Media Group in China and by Universal in the rest of the world. Man of Tai Chi had distribution wrapped up before it ever started filming.
The more important news that should be focused on is that a summer release for the film appears to be firming up. Hopefully firm theatrical release dates will be released soon and the film will have a proper promotion campaign and roll out by the distributors.
