SAG-AFTRA Strike Guidelines

Here’s the SAG-AFTRA strike guidelines.

The official SAG-AFTRA document is here and screen caps of it are below.

Variety also posted a decent summary. Highlights below.

  • Film critics can review movies.
  • Entertainment journalists can cover movies and TV.
  • SAG-AFTRA members can NOT talk about their projects.
  • SAG-AFTRA members can do podcasts but can NOT promote struck work. SAG-AFTRA members working under the SAG-AFTRA Podcast Agreement may also continue to do so, as that contract is not affected by the strike.
  • SAG-AFTRA does NOT affect Broadway.
  • SAG-AFTRA members CAN DO reality shows, game shows, commercials, video game work, talk shows, etc. (see the SAG-AFTRA document for more) as long as they do not talk about struck work.
  • Non-union influencers are not subjected to strike rules. Influencers who work under the SAG-AFTRA Influencer Agreement have been asked NOT promote struck work.
  • Independent producers an get a waiver to keep making their projects. Also note the Short Project Agreement and the Micro Budget Project Agreement.

Note: Keanu is not breaking strike rules if he is shooting a commercial for Fender/Arch.
