Back in March, Claudia Avila-Mitchell posted about her daughter’s (Bianca Mitchell-Avila) documentary, Madwoman’s Game on reddit.
Today, Claudia Avila-Mitchell posted on reddit that the documentary will have its west coast premiere at the Chicano Hollywood Film Festival in Pomona, CA on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Red carpet starts at 6:00 pm. At 6:30 pm, Keanu Reeves will play a live chess game with the director, Bianca Mitchell-Avila. Following the chess match, Keanu will participate in a panel discussion with Bianca, Zach Zamboni, and Carla Berkowitz.
In a subsequent post, on reddit, Claudia Avila-Mitchell included the poster for the event.
