Variety has just posted that the Yahoo board has approved the $1.1 billion Tumblr acquisition and the deal will be announce tomorrow. Yahoo is hoping that acquisition of the blogging site will provide Yahoo with the opportunity to make inroads with younger audiences. At this point it is not clear what effect the sale will have on Tumblr with respect to the brand or how it operates.
Considering many Keanu related sites are based on tumblr, I thought this might be of interest to others.
