It appears that 47 Ronin has a new composer who will be providing the score (original music) for the film. Ilan Eshkeri has tweeted that it is the first day of recording strings from LMO (London Metropolitan Orchestra) for 47 Ronin. He also tweeted a photo.
It appears that the film has had trouble holding on to its composer. Ilan Eshkeri has taken over from Javier Navarrete who inherited the job from Atticus Rose.
The IMDb 47 Ronin page has Ilan Eshkeri listed in the credits as the doing the original music. You can visit his twitter page here and the photo is here.
Update: Mr. Eshkeri’s website indicates that the 47 Ronin score will be recorded during June at Abbey Road Studios. You can visit his web site here and take a look at some of the other projects he scored.
Update: 2X: The studio changed between the time of the post on Mr. Eshkeri’s website and the time of the actual recording. Someone playing with the LMO has tweeted that it is a rainy afternoon in London and the recording at the Air Studio is going well.
Update 3X: Viola player, Natalie Holt, has tweeted a photo from the studio recording of the 47 Ronin score. Looks like they were working on the Wedding Processional. The photo is here and the tweet is here.
