Alameda Sun has a post upon the recent spotting of a film crew setting up cameras and other film equipment in Alameda Point believed to be for Matrix 4.
Part of the second Matrix film, The Matrix Reloaded, was filmed in Alameda. A freeway chase scene was filmed at an abandoned airstrip at Alameda Naval Air Station, while a rave scene was filmed at an abandoned aircraft hangar.
