The Urban Bush Babies did a piece on the New Young Pony Club (NYPC) that included photos including one of Keanu Reeves with the group. No date was given with the photo and there were no meta tags associated with the photo.
NYPC played at the Echo on Sunset Blvd. back on October 30, 2007 and one of the comments left with the article said Keanu was in the house. The LAist covered the event and has several photos of the band. The Mod Blog posted that Keanu had an hour long conversation in the dressing room with several members of the group afterwards.
The photo is likely from Oct. 2007 but other dates can’t be ruled out. As an aside, NYPC played at the Echo on May 15, 2014 with little fanfare and no reviews. Keanu’s hair around both play dates is similar but his beard was darker in 2007 IMO.
