Variety has a post up on Los Angeles Unhoused Response Academy, LAURA for short. LAURA is a five-day training program for people looking to change careers and become a case manager or another position in the homeless services area.
LAURA was founded by Justin Szlasa and the first training group included some from the entertainment community looking for new careers. Keanu Reeves, who worked with Justin Szlasa on the documentary Side by Side, backed the pilot week last October.
