SAG-AFTRA Seeks New Deal for AI Digital Doubles

Financial Times is reporting that SAG-AFTRA will be meeting with studio counter parts on Wednesday to hammer out a new three year contract. SAG-AFTRA has asked their members to authorize a strike if a deal is not reached by June 30.

Hollywood’s largest union will begin discussions over pay in the artificial intelligence age as part of contract negotiations with studios this week, debating how human performers should be remunerated for the work of their “digital doubles”.
