Back on February 15, I posted a photo of Keanu with Laten Namling, the protagonist of The Tibetan Warrior. That photo was posted on February 7 and taken while Keanu was visiting Basel for the Paul Guaguin event.
The weekend of February 6-9, there were pre-premieres for The Tibetan Warrior in Basel and Zurich. The Dalai Lama was in Basel for the Swiss release of the film and met with the film crew on February 7.
I’d say there is a strong possibility, this is when Keanu met the Dalai Lama,
