NewsSTV is reporting that footage for 47 Ronin, starring Keanu Reeves, was filmed last week on Isle of Skye in Scotland. A helicopter crew filmed horses running around Neist Point on the west side of Skye. Footage from the area is being used as a backdrop for a Japanese winter.
Ali Jones, location manager for the film, said:
“It’s really the final bit of shooting for the film. We were getting shots with the samurai riding their horses and the scenery added something extra to the shots. The weather was kind to us and everyone involved had a great time.”
