So if you’re hung up on racial purity or had a problem with Idris Elba’s casting in the Thor series of movies, you probably won’t want to see “47 Ronin”. If you enjoy a good, clean folktale based fantasy with the costuming and pageantry of ancient Japan, this is a film you want to see in a theatre in 3D. Visually, it will make your eyes oooh and ahhh. As for Keanu, he does a fine job and he has the athleticism and grace to wield a sword in dynamic fight scenes and he interacts seamlessly with the mythological creatures technology can provide. The entire cast is beautifully traditional in style and performance.
