The Citgo gas station on Route 9W in Upper Nyack will be featured in John Wick starring Keanu Reeves. The Citgo is a favorite of location scouts due to its distinctive 1950s look and eye-catching canopy. Assistant location manager for John Wick, Justin Rosini said:
“I was driving around the area looking for a very remote gas station on a secluded road. The throwback look of it is really what drew my attention. Once producers saw the photos they were immediately like, ‘This is the one.’ Often people will scout 30 options. But that was pretty much one shot,” says Rosini, who has scouted locations throughout the Lower Hudson Valley including Sleepy Hollow and Bronxville.
