The Hollywood Reporter has posted that Rachel McAdams has dropped out of Passengers. The film project is currently looking for a new female lead. In recent days The Weinstein Company also pulled Passengers from it’s release schedule. As a result of the delay that due to the departure of Rachel McAdams, TWC has now pulled out of the project as well according to CAA. CAA is currently shopping around for another US distributor.
Brian Kirk was supposed to start filming on April 7 but the start date has been delayed. The delay could be several weeks or more. On a positive note, the financing for the film is still in place.
