Collider is reporting that The Weinstein Company has pulled Passengers starring Keanu Reeves and Rachel McAdams from their release schedule. The film was initially set to be released on April 3, 2015. It is not clear at this time if the release date will be reset for a future date or if the project is in jeopardy.
In an interview on NPR Berlin on February 27, Adam Stockhausen,production designer for Passengers, said he was currently building a spaceship for his next project at Studio Babelserg. While there is no way to know for sure, I’d speculate that the pre-production is taking longer than anticipated and the filming will also be delay as a result pushing everything back including the release date. Note, that is just speculation on my part and with that and $1.50 you can buy a cheap of coffee at the local 7-11.
