Claude Brodesser-Akner at Vulture has an exclusive report. Bill & Ted 3 script writers, Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson are reporting that director Dean Parisot is attached to direct the film. The film will not recycle old material but will instead revolve around where the title characters, Ted Theodore Logan and Bill S. Preston, Esq., are in their current life. Vulture’s sources are saying the film is aiming to be a studio comedy with a mid- priced budget.
MGM Pictures, who owns the rights to Bill & Ted, are supposedly shopping the script around to other studios in the hopes of picking up a co-financier. If the project comes together and moves forward, shoot won’t start until Parisot finishes his next project, Red 2, which is currently in pre-production.
