For those who are on the fence as to whether to give generation Um… a try, ask yourself this: How many films have you seen in the past that you liked but the critics panned?
On moviefancentral you can read what fans who have seen generation Um.. thought of the film. The majority of fans who have posted liked the film and were far more thoughtful in their reviews than many of the professional critics.
On another note, back on May 3, in the interview round-up post, I said the following:
To those few reviewers who went to great lengths to be insulting and offered little else well, congratulations on your vocabulary and the level of unprofessionalism that you displayed.
When I wrote that I was thinking specifically about Justin Chang and his review for Variety. Well kudos to one of the readers (I.M.) who called him out in the comment section. She also included her thoughtful comments on the film.
