Eonline has a clip of celebrities auditioning for various parts before they were stars. The tapes will be up for auction. In the clip, about a quarter to a third of the way in, you can see a portion of Keanu’s audition for Backdraft with director Ron Howard. Robert Downey, Jr. and Brad Pitt also auditioned for the same part, but the role went to William Baldwin because he looked like he could be Kurt Russell’s brother.
