What A Suit Is Saying on Bloomberg News

Bloomberg News has posted a video that has some suit discussing Keanu Reeve’s career and box office draw in terms of stock cycle. We post the Keanu related news that is currently out there and we don’t cherry pick just the good stuff. Like it or not this is the crap that is out there. You can watch the clip here.

To bad the guy failed to mention that Universal  hired a director whose only claim to fame were a few commercials and music videos and turned him loose on a big budget tentpole without any kind of supervision. Keanu Reeves returned from that shoot in August 2011 with a brushcut and it took until May 2012 for Universal to realize they didn’t have enough action and fight footage and the star of the film didn’t have enough screen time. I find that just stunning.

I also see no one mentioning the fact that rather than hire a professional to oversee the final cut, Universal put Donna Langley in charge of that.  Donna Langley is listed as miscellaneous crew or a producer on IMDbPro. Her list of projects is below. In view of the comments that have been made on editing and pacing by both critics and audiences, you can make your own judgement on whether that was a good decision.
