In an additional casting call for extras and background performers for a night club scene in the Daughter of God, NYC Castings has included the following synopsis:
Daughter of God is a gritty suspense thriller that blends elements of the supernatural with a crime story. It tells the story of Isabel De La Cruz a young Latino teacher in Washington Heights who after a traumatic experience in the subway begins to have holy visions. Meanwhile Detective Scotty Galban is investigating the murder of his partner, a crooked police detective. We soon realize that Isabel and Galban’s very different worlds are somehow connected but we’re not sure how. The deeper we dive into each story the more truths unfold and meld the two worlds into one. It turns out that the answers to Isabel’s visions and Galban’s investigation reveal truths that they never thought were possible and nothing is as it seems.
As an aside, My Entertainment World’s listing for Daughter of God is showing a revise date of October 29 as of last week and Ana de Armas’ tweet made it sound like filming would commence at the end of this week. Looks like the film is on track and filming will begin sometime this week.
