WRAL, news outlet out of Raleigh, Durham and Fayetteville, NC, reported on what celebrities talked about at CinemaCon. They reported the following comments by Halle Berry and Chad Stahelski.
Halle Berry and “John Wick 3” director Chad Stahelski say the actress will be back for the fourth installment in Keanu Reeves’ action franchise.
“I’m going to say yes, because I got the first job by doing that. So I’m going to say yeah, I’m all over the next one,” Berry said on Thursday.
“Her character Sofia is not going anywhere,” Stahelski added.
Note: Stahelski has said in other interviews that if JW3 did well and Lionsgate was interested in a fourth film, he had lots of ideas and was up for it (paraphrased).
That being said, without seeing video of Halle Berry and Chad Stahelski making the above comments, there is no way to tell if they made them tongue in cheek or if they were dead serious. Time will tell.
