Interesting… Teddy Bears, Digital Media Workshop and Secret Screening at SIFF – Update!

Whether Keanu Reeves is in fact at the Seatle International Film Festival remains to be seen. Having said that, there have been multiple tweets, including a sighting at the Uptown which is one of the festival’s theater locations, a tweet that he was in the house along with two other notables and all their theaters were full and the SIFF is retweeting Keanu related tweets that put him at SIFF events or venues.

Two tweets of note indicate that Keanu is hanging with David Krumholtz, Melanie Lynskey  and Jillian Jacobs.

Last night, June 2, Teddy Bears screened at the Uptown at 9:30 pm. David Krumholtz, Gillian, Jacobs, and Melanie Lynskey were all in the cast. You can read about Teddy Bears here.

Interesting events of note at the festival today are a secret screening and two workshops.

Secret Festival

Here’s what’s up: Our annual festival-within-a-festival isn’t a Dangerous Liaisons kind of secret thing. It’s a Dead Poets Society kind of secret thing. Consider the Egyptian Theatre your cave and the hundreds of fellow Secret Festival goers your comrades.

Admission is by only.

Each of the four Secret Festival screenings is held at 11:00AM every Sunday. Your ceremonial membership of $45 ($43 for SIFF members) allows you to see screenings of coming-soon, unreleased, private collection, and exceedingly rare films — but only you will know what they are.

No blogging, Facebooking, tweeting, or old-fashioned babbling allowed.

There are also two workshops today, one on Digital Media and one on Resources for Modern Filmmakers. Also, there is an interesting array of films, including some Shakespeare related ones. For those who are interested in checking out the films playing and other events, the SIFF site is here.

Update: Someone has tweeted that they helped Keanu Reeves today! Further down his twitter page he makes an unkind reference to people at airports, so it sounds like he works at the airport and Keanu is probably (with probably being the operative word) headed home so it looks like one stop for Teddy Bears and some socializing. Good for him – he’s been working hard. Here’s hoping he gets some more fun and relaxation in before the MOTC release.
