Interviews

Ashley Lee talked with Keanu Reeves, WIllem Dafoe and other cast members at the John Wick premiere for The Hollywood Reporter. Keanu Reeves, WIllem Dafoe and the directors talked about the film. John Leguizamo, who plays a friend of Wick’s in the film,  talked about working with Keanu and said:

“Off-screen, Reeves is “this real cool philosophical dude. We had great, deep conversation about everything from sustainability to how to romance the ladies — all that. We could talk about anything. I felt like we were old-soul friends for a long time.”

Alfie Allen offered the following about Keanu:

“Reeves “just sets an example — he’s first in, last out, and some of his stunts were full-on, he didn’t stop. Off-camera, he made me feel really at ease. Very, very down-to-earth, chilled out dude.”

Reviews

Drew McWeeny reviewed the film for HITFIX and gave it a B+. He says the following:

“John Wick” won’t redefine action movies, but it perfectly exemplifies what I want from an action film when I go. Have fun with the world, shoot the action well, motivate it in a way that doesn’t feel cheap. It’s amazing how little it takes to do it well, and how hard it seems to be for people to do it. “John Wick” is the goods, though, and for action fans, you’re in for a treat in just over a week.
