Many thanks to @MJW_Films and @87elevenAction for responding to tweets about John Wick this morning.
This morning I tweeted @MJW_Films and asked if there was a release date yet for John Wick and if they’d be taking it to any summer or fall film festivals.
They tweeted back that there were no plans for summer festivals but if there were any changes they’d let us know. They also said that they were hoping the release date for John Wick would be sometime in September and that it would appear in foreign markets in either October or November.
I also tweeted @87elevenAction and asked how post-production was going and if they had plans to take the film to TIFF. They replied that things were going well and they were hoping for a release this year. They had no word yet on TIFF but they did say screenings were going well. It’s not clear if that means they submitted the film to TIFF and are waiting to hear.
Update: @MJW_Films has tweeted that the John Wick trailer will be ready any day.
