Many thanks to princesspika who has shared a photo of the library where JW2 is shooting today on websta. She appears to be a set dresser from the tags posted with the photo.
Update: Many thanks to princesspika who has also shared a photo of the Bank of America Tower on websta. The tag also includes JW2. There is a library in midtown on 5th Ave. on 42nd St that is near the BOAT which is on 6th Ave. between 42nd and 43rd St. A photo of the library with the BOAT in the background can be seen on flickr.
Note: It is not clear if they are shooting in an actual library or they are using an interior in another building that was made to look like a library. I am not familiar with the libraries in NYC. That being said, I am not sure the ceiling in the photo would be found in an older building. The glass ceiling looks like it would be found in a more modern building so you have to wonder if they found a suitable interior in the BOAT to serve as the library setting.
Update X2: My Entertainment World has posted an updated notice for JW2 stating that it starts shooting on Thursday, October 29. In view of that, it is not clear if they were prepping the library today to shoot or if they were actually shooting.
Reminder: I’m not in NYC so the best I can do is report what others are posting/tweeting. I have no first hand knowledge.
