Keanu Reeves Interview for Die Presse

Many thanks to Ayako for tweeting the link!

Mariam Schaghaghi interviewed Keanu Reeves for Die Presse. The article is in German and translates well. The interview covers a lot of the same ground that have been covered in others but there were several parts that stood out.

Keanu was asked about his role playing an outsider and if he had experienced the feelings of being a loner (outsider). He has been asked this before and up until now he has said that he felt like an outsider among the cast due to the fact that he was not Japanese and did not speak the language. In this interview he talked about all the moving around he did with his parents when he was young and the fact that he constantly had to get used to new places and schools. He also mentioned that he felt like an outsider when he lived in Hawaii as a result of being just half Hawaiian.

Keanu was asked if he felt wiser as he approaches his 50th birthday in September. He hopes that he will be wiser with age. He said that ultimately it is about gathering experience and you become more aware that your life will end someday.
