Fred Topel interviewed Keanu Reeves for CraveOnline. They talked in length about Side by Side and touched on why celluloid films and digital look different when transferred, 48 frames per second being a new thing, and whether any of the interviewees in the film ever got contentious. When asked if he used his Matrix skills for Man of Tai Chi and 47 Ronin, Keanu replied:
[Laughs] I had some wonderful training in the Matrix films so that gives me a bit of a foundation, but you know I’m older. I got older knees, so my older knees are standing on that foundation. But I have a good Kung Fu fight in Man of Tai Chi and in Ronin I get to do some things.
Keanu also talked about why he chose to do Man of Tai Chi in digital. In addition to asking the usual questions about Bill & Ted 3 Mr. Topel also asked if Bill and Ted would have liked Dogstar.
