Screen Daily is reporting that Nicolas Chartier, chief of Voltage Pictures, hopes to show footage from Knock, Knock on the Croisette. Knock, Knock, which is a co-production between Camp Grey, Black Bear Pictures and Sobra International Pictures, is currently filming in Santiago, Chile.
The story, which is being reported as an exclusive, appears to be at odds with the information reported by Variety. Yesterday Variety reported that Cassian Elwes was bringing Knock, Knock to Cannes for possible US distribution.
It is common for films to have two sales representatives, one to handle domestic sales and another one to handle foreign sales. Since Elwes was reported to be looking for domestic distribution for the film, you have to wonder if Voltage Pictures is handling the foreign sales or if there has been a shake-up and Elwes is now out of the picture.
