Mifune: The Last Samurai debuted at the Venice Film Festival in 2015 and then disappeared. After screening at the Telluride Film Festival it has come back to the forefront and will be playing at the following film festivals:
- London Film Festival, on October 10, 12 and 15
- Mil Valley Film Festival, October 6-16
- Film Fest Gent, Belgium, October 11-21
- Kyoto International Film & Art Festival, Japan, October 13-16
- Sao Paulo International Film Festival, Brazil, October 20-November 2
- Hawaii International Film Festival, November 3-13
