- Keanu was asked about his knowledge of Chinese martial arts and why the tai chi man doesn’t have super powers. He said that when filming The Matrix, Chen Hu taught him over 200 moves. He also learn much from master Yuen-Woo-Ping. they formed a collaboration and spent 7 years preparing the project and they came together again to film it. Kean said his hero movie is different. His ‘Man’ doesn not have super powers. He believes that ordinary people can also become a hero by being a chivalrous man like Chen Hu. The film is a victotry over evil.
- Chen Hu was asked about the story line and to share his views on it. He said the the creative process very long and that Keanu took much time to prepare and modify the story that has now become the film. He said that they wanted to show the growth process of how the characters in the story change as opposed to presenting just a fantasy film. DUring the filming they used their own action in order to show the most authentic martial arts.
- Yeh Qing was asked about Keanu’s directing skills. he said that MOTC was her first large international project. She said that Keanu ued to be a good actor and now he is a good director. She also said that he was very serious.
- Keanu was asked about acting in and directing the film. He said that acting is an internal and directing is an external matter. He said the two identities are totally different and going back and forth was difficult.
