Matt Patches from Hollywood talked to Gary Powell, stunt coordinator for 47 Ronin. Mr. Powell reports that Carl Rinsch’s continued work on the film is intended to strengthen the film. He reports that:
“…I have not seen it, but all the visual effects people [say] there are a hell of a lot of visual effects. But it looks really nice.”
Additionally Mr Powell reports that there is a lot of fighting and a good horse chase in which Keanu is heavily involved. In his opinion the balance between the realism and fantastical aspects of the film position it well as a blockbuster.
