Earlier in the week the Tribeca Citizen reported John WIck would be filming on Chambers and Reade on Sunday. Today there have been several tweets reporting they have seen signs posted for the John Wick shoot. One was for filming around Chambers Street. and the other was for filming around Worth and Lafayette Streets. Both locations are within a reasonable distance of each other.
Also, according to the casting call that went out for extras for today’s shoot, they were needed for exterior sots and were told to where coats and the like that would be appropriate for a night on the town. They were also told the scene takes place in the fall so not to show up in puffy, winter looking coats.
NYC had snow yesterday with some areas getting up to 5 inches. It is suppose to rain today, but unless the snow is gone, it is not clear if they will shoot considering it is suppose to be fall.
Update: A comment was left on OLV dated December 14 saying that Keanu finished his filming last week (by my way of thinking the week of Dec 2) and the remainder of the Wick shoot would be second unit work. If the information is correct, then the shoot in Queens on Saturday, Dec 7 would have been his last day. If Keanu was in fact finished filming, then you have to wonder why he wasn’t at the press junket in Burbank earlier in the week. Regardless, I have no way to verify the information, so we’ll just have to wait and see. Many thanks for sending in the link, J!
