River’s Edge, released on May 8, 1987, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The film, which starred Keanu Reeves, Crispin Glover and Dennis Hopper, is slated as one of the big events at Sundance London this year and screens on Saturday, April 28.
The indie film, which was Keanu Reeves’ first film after arriving in Hollywood and garnered him much attention for his portrayal of Matt, won two Independent Spirit Awards for best feature and best screenplay as well as a PEN Center USA West Literary Awards for screenplay.
